Artist Patricia Cherry
Raised in California, Ms. Cherry developed both a love of this beautiful state and a love of art. She has studied with well over 50 amazing art teacher / artists as well as attended world-class art schools over a 30-year period. Her Fine Art education includes attending San Francisco State University, California College of Arts and Crafts, University of California @ Berkeley, and Escuela de Belles Artes in San Miquel de Allende, Guanajauto Mexico.
Together she and her husband have 6 adult children with 8 budding artist grandchildren who live all over California. Raising four children as a single mother drove her to use her only (as she says) observable skill, a big mouth, to become what she thinks of as “An Accidental Success”. As CEO of Stansbury Staffing, Inc. a San Francisco Regional Staffing firm. Her studio is located in Sonora. Visitors are welcome by appointment.
Patricia was a co-founder of Sonora Art Trails, a successful open art studio tour bringing tourists and art lovers to Tuolumne County.
She writes a weekly column for Sierra Lodestar, “Artsay”. a column about local artists written by an artist. In addition she appears as hostess on the Public Access Television show, “Art Matters”. A monthly show that explores all matters pertaining to art.
